Warm October weather forecast until

The weather forecast for the next few days reinforces the belief that we are facing a “spring” autumn. October does not let go of Italy, to the delight of many compatriots who do not hesitate to continue going to the beach on Sundays, especially in the South.

A new turn on the weather front could take place next weekend of October 22-23. But beware, the change we would expect at the end of October will not take place. The weekend will open on Saturday October 22 with instability in Triveneto, Liguria di Levante and most central regions. Especially on the Tyrrhenian side, where rains and thunderstorms, sometimes intense, will be possible. Phenomena which should be normal for the end of autumn but in front of which we must now be very attentive, given the irreversible climatic changes which are taking place in Italy as in the rest of the world. And therefore the possibility of a storm turning into a storm with damage and casualties.

The rains that will arrive as the weekend of October 22 and 23 approaches will be caused by the tail of the disturbance that will pass on Friday 21. In the afternoon of Saturday 22, however, the thunderstorms will leave our country, giving back wide open spaces a bit of sun all over the peninsula. The good weather will also continue in the rest of the regions thanks to the further strengthening of the African anticyclone that meteorologists have already renamed Scipione. On Sunday October 23, Scipione will move at high speed from North Africa to Central and Southern Europe. Essentially, we will find ourselves completely enveloped by the African High, as usually happens during the summer.

The weather, the heat in the Center-South

To report an umpteenth general increase in temperatures with the heat which will be felt especially in the center-south of the Tyrrhenian. According to the weather forecast, there will be maximum peaks well above 25 and 27 degrees. In these days of true end of summer, only the northwest of Italy will be affected by the influence of a disturbed flow descending from the Atlantic. And it will be precisely for this reason that thunderstorms can occur in Valle d’Aosta and Piedmont, even strong ones in the alpine areas.

In short, something is not right in this strange period with the climatic autumn which does not want to arrive. And the summer drought that devastated crops, rivers and lakes, as well as aqueduct supply systems, is not completely overcome, if we consider the weather forecast. Already last year there was a severe winter drought. The water emergency is now one of the great emergencies in Italy. Also because a chronic problem has not been attacked for some time: 40% of the water that passes through national water networks is lost. In addition, for the past few weeks, the effects of the drought have been affecting the fall colors of the changing leaves.
