[ANTES DE COMEÇAR A MATÉRIA, FIQUE CIENTE QUE ELA ESTÁ RECHEADA DE SPOILERS]
If you haven’t watched the seventh episode of WandaVision, then don’t read this article to avoid spoilers.
I will begin today’s analysis by correcting a mistake made last week. At the time, I was saying that the sixth episode brought in elements of shows like Modern Family and The Office, mainly because of the use of embarrassing situations and the infamous Fourth Wall Breaks. However, the one in the previous episode had a teenage series as a setting, leaving those two previously mentioned series to explore in the seventh episode. Speaking of the devil, today’s episode was made for those who complain that the show doesn’t explain situations properly. This seventh chapter has come in to make some things very clear and to prepare the audience for the last two parts of the story.
Theory confirmed!
The climax of the episode was the revelation that neighbor Agnes (Kathryn Hahn) is, in fact, the witch Agatha Harkness, as fan theory put it. And according to theory, she turned out to be the manipulative big bad that we expected. However, another villain was missing: the demon Mephisto. As two more episodes are still missing, it’s time for him to appear. Ah, it’s worth remembering that Billy and Tommy are missing and the camera put a seemingly ‘unnecessary’ focus on a locked book, which may be an indication that the demon will always appear, which gives him the option. to be freed by the witch before the end of the series. Another point that helps in this theory is the song Agatha sung about “doing it all by myself”. It’s a mocking song and every time she gets to the chorus she changes the subject or gestures on camera like she’s keeping a secret. In other words, the fans who believe in Mephisto’s theory are behind it all, don’t throw in the towel! There is still time.
Another fan theory that seems to have gained strength with this episode is that of SWORD’s possible involvement in rebuilding the evil robot, Ultron (James Spader). It is said in this episode that the organization was trying to revive Visão (Paul Bettany) for use as a weapon.
In the comics, Ultron only needs to keep his head in order to survive and transfer his consciousness to another mechanical body. As seen in Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017), SHIELD has possession of the Big Man’s Head. Will we finally see Age of Ultron, instead of the Week of Ultron that aired in theaters? It would be interesting to present villains to solve in other productions, increasing this integration of the universe.
But the one that left theory behind and consolidated itself as the one we were already hoping for would be Agent Monica Rambeau, who eventually discovered her energy-manipulating powers and became the superheroine Photon. She hears voices that virtually guarantee her presence in other productions, especially those involving Captain Marvel (Brie Larson). We’ve gained a huge character with potential for development in the Marvel Cinematic Universe – if she survives the events of the series, of course. Good to remember that she ends the episode by confronting the mysterious Pietro (Evan Peters), which suggests that she may have been kidnapped or will be involved in a clash with him.

Finally, the most amazing Easter egg of the episode was the announcement inserted into the plot on the Nexus capsules. In the comics, the term “Nexus” has two purposes. One is to name a portal that unites all dimensions and their possibilities of existence, while the other is used to describe creatures so powerful that they are able to change the directions of the universes. Remember I spoke the last few weeks that Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen) was one of the “Universal Anchors”? Well that’s it. The legal part is that these “beings” will be part of the investigations of the Loki series, which ends up connecting the MCU even more. Another point to emphasize is that Wanda seems to be taking these capsules on the show.
Well, there are only two more episodes left to complete the original first MCU series. So far we have Wanda out of control and under the influence of the magic of Agatha Harkness, an evil Pietro, an apprentice Captain Marvel committed to stopping this madness, a Vision without understanding anything, a secret agency with dark secrets and two missing children. Does WandaVision come up with a problem to solve this last section? Now we have to wait and see how this story unfolds.
