‘Voyagers’: sci-fi starring Tye Sheridan and Colin Farrell shot down by critics

The sci-fi ‘Voyagers’, starring Tye Sheridan and Colin Farrell, debuts this Friday (09) in international theaters, but the specialist critic has already had a chance to check out the production firsthand and the main reviews are already among us.

And with a 33% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes (at the time of this posting), the film has been slaughtered by critics, being seen as a much inferior version of the classic ‘Lord of the Flies’.

Additionally, the production has been severely criticized for not having fluidity in its script, ensuring a plot lacking energy and unable to capture attention.

The film is written and directed by Neil Burger (“The Illusionist”).

With the future of the human race threatened, a group of young men and women, raised to be intelligent and obedient, set out on an expedition to colonize a distant planet. But when they uncover disturbing secrets about the mission, they challenge their training and get carried away by a primitive nature.

Tye Sheridan, Lily-Rose Depp, Fionn Whitehead, Chanté Adams, Isaac Hempstead Wright, Viveik Kalra, Archie Madekwe, Quintessa Swindell, Madison Hu and Colin Farrell are the stars.

“Voyagers” still has no forecast of arrival in Brazil.
