The consultations at the Quirinal will open tomorrow, while the calendar should be released this evening.
Al Colle is ready to discuss with parliamentary groups and party leaders. Voting for Vice-Presidents, Secretaries and Quaestors has just begun. It turns out that the new government could be sworn in on Sunday.
Majority agreement
Forza Italia will have one vice-president in the Chamber and one in the Senate. Fratelli d’Italia will have one in the Chamber and the Lega will have one in the Senate. This is the agreement reached by the majority at a meeting of group leaders held in the Chamber. The names of the Senate are Gian Marco Centinaio (Lega), Maurizio Gasparri (Forza Italia). The names of the Chamber are Giorgio Mulè (Forza Italia) and Fabio Rampelli (Brothers of Italy).
Democratic Party Voting Guidelines
On the opposition side, no truce has been reached between the Democratic Party and the Third Pole. Rumors had spoken of a planned meeting between Senator Dem Marco Meloni and the leader of Italia Viva in the Senate Raffaele Paita. Enrico Letta’s indications for the vice-presidencies remain those of Anna Rossomando as vice-president of the Senate and of Anna Ascani as vice-president of the Chamber of Deputies.
As for the other Democratic Party voting indications, there are Quaestor Marco Meloni and Class Secretary Valeria Valente in the Senate, with the addition of another name. Chiara Braga and Stefano Vaccari class secretaries in the Chamber.
The Third Pole does not collect ballots
“There are four vice-presidential seats, two in the House and two in the Senate. Pd and Movimento 5 Stelle cut us off. This thing is not respectful for us and we do not participate in the vote”, reiterates the leader of Italia Viva Matteo Renzi, adding: “For half a chair they agreed, now they are a de facto couple” .
“One of the oppositions was dismissed by the vice-presidents of the chambers. At this point, we hope that there is a will to consider that at least one of the guarantee commissions, Supervision or Copasir, goes to the Third Pole,” said the head of the Chamber of Action-IV Matteo Richetti.
The Third Pole did not withdraw the ballots: “We do not withdraw the ballot, so we do not participate in the vote”, announced Ettore Rosato.
