The MUBI platform, a well-known global distributor and organized streaming service, has announced the release of “Vortex”, the acclaimed film by filmmaker Gaspar Noé (“Clímax“), here in Brazil.
‘Vortex’, which has a screenplay and direction by Noé, premiered in 2021 at the Cannes Film Festival. The cast has names such as Françoise Lebrun (“The Diving Gun and the Butterfly”) and Dario Argento (“Suspiria“).
Critically acclaimed and in a different style from its previous production, the new production offers a fascinating and tender exploration of love and loneliness.
“Vortex” follows a few days in the life of an elderly couple as they come to terms with their mother’s degenerative mental health as she battles dementia. Presented in split-screen, the feature film shows the couple’s routine, both together and alone. Daily tasks become more difficult
The film is set to arrive exclusively on the platform on September 30.
