Protagonist of the literary saga created by Diego De Silva, she will soon come to life on Rai Uno thanks to Massimiliano Gallo. The series was directed by Alessandro Angelini and is produced by Ivan Carlei, Francesco Nardella and Alessandro Passadore. The show also uses production from Rai Fiction and Viola Film. During the eight episodes that will make up the first season, we will have the opportunity to meet Vincenzo Malinconico. A lawyer by profession, he spends his life living from day to day, among rare clients and an unsatisfactory private life. He has in fact been abandoned by his wife, Nives, who does not want to abandon him completely, even though Vincenzo’s attempts to rebuild something have proven futile. However, Melancholic does not let himself be defeated, on the contrary he takes it literally with philosophy. Following the incessant back and forth with his ex-wife, the man will decide to hang out with a colleague, Alessandra Persiano. His life will be turned upside down when he is called upon to defend a guy known as Mimmo O’ Burzone, who seems to be affiliated with the Camorra. He will therefore be transported to a new reality which will put him in contact with Amodio Tricarico, another criminal.

In addition to the aforementioned Massimiliano Gallo, in his first lead role in a series, Vincenzo Malinconico – Failed Lawyer will also see Teresa Saponangelo, in the role of Nives. The two previously worked together on the acclaimed film It Was the Hand of God, which won Saponangelo David di Donatello Best Supporting Actress. The series will also feature Denise Capezza, as Alessandra; Francesco Di Leva will be Tricarico and Michele Placido (Tarallo), Ana Caterina Morariu (Veronica), Lina Sastri (Assunta) and Giacomo Rizzo (Giustino) will also be part of the cast.
