Editor-in-chief Renato Marafon brings his VIDEO review of “Eternals,” the new Marvel movie directed by Oscar winner Chloe Zhao.

With a stunning look and great actors, the film lacks its very fragmented storyline. But… the good news is that it is totally deviating from the “Marvel formula”.

Revision | Eternos is Marvel’s most artistic, complex and original film… for better or for worse!

During an interview with The Toronto Sun, producer Nate Moore revealed that Marvel Studios may even be developing sequels for the feature film, but that’s not a matter of priority.

Additionally, he said the Intergalactic Epic doesn’t need sequels to be considered a full-fledged success, unlike other studio attractions.

“A suite is not compulsory. Obviously, we have ideas of where we can go, but there is no hard and fast rule that requires us to develop a trilogy. I think the Infinity Gems fell to our knees and really helped connect things in unexpected and precious ways. ‘Eternals’ works by itself, without the need for connections. You can watch the movie and that’s it.

On the other hand, Zhao is confident in the success of the adaptation and is set to reprise the role in an upcoming team movie.

In an interview with The Playlist, the Oscar winner for her achievement in “Nomadland” said she would like to further explore the MCU’s past and invest in the future of the franchise.

“What I liked about this movie is that it is as tied to the origins of the MCU as it is to the future, which can have a big impact. With a past and a future guaranteed, you can play. and do whatever you want, like in an independent movie, I’d love to come back for a second movie with the same crew, so we’ll see.

Previously, she had spoken to The Hollywood Reporter and said that “Eternals” was an even bigger show than “Avengers: Ultimatum”.

“I’m making this movie not just as a filmmaker, but as a huge Marvel fan. Ever since I was chosen as a director, I’ve been like, ‘How can we go beyond what we saw in’ Avengers: Ultimatum ‘? This is what I want to offer the public, a spectacle worthy of what has been built so far.

So, are you excited?

‘Eternals’ follows the journey of quasi-immortal beings, products of the evolutionary divergence that gave birth to the human race millennia ago. The characters relate to several concepts already introduced in previous universe films, from the Celestials (who came out in “Guardians of the Galaxy”) to Thanos, whose own mother was one of his victims.

The cast also includes Salma Hayek (Ajak), Kumail Nanjiani (Kingo), Lauren Ridloff (Makkari), Brian Tyree Henry (Phastos), Lia McHugh (Sprite), Gemma Chan (Sersi), Kit Harington (Black Knight), Barry Kheogan (Druig) and Richard Madden (Ikaris).
