Editor Renato Marafon brings a video review of “Black Adam,” a feature film starring Dwayne Johnson and based on the DC character.

With spectacular visuals, the film never takes off due to a messy and confusing script and little character development.

Look:

On Rotten Tomatoes, the production has just a 52% approval rating, with a rating of 5.30/10 based on 31 reviews to date. Pundits praised the action scenes, but criticized the pacing, script, and even some special effects.
Remember that the film will be released in theaters on October 20.

Are you waiting?

Nearly 2,000 years after being gifted with the omnipotent powers of the Egyptian gods – and just as quickly arrested – Black Adam (Dwayne Johnson) is freed from his earthly tomb, ready to unleash his unique form of justice on the modern world.

The film will also star Justice Society members Doctor Fate (Pierce Brosnan), Hawkman (Aldis Hodge), Atom Crusher (Noah Centineo), and Cyclone (Quintessa Swindell).

Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra (‘Águas Rasas’), the feature film will take place in the same universe as ‘Shazam!’.
