‘Twilight’: find out how old the Cullen family members are

The Twilight Saga introduced a different type of vampire to pop culture, as they are resistant to sun exposure and glow rather than burn.

However, they remained with the classic undead characteristics, such as prey, bloodlust, and immortality.

By the way, many fans have already wondered about the ages of the members of the Cullen family, formed by Dr. Caslile, his wife Esme and their adopted children: Edward, Rosalie, Emmett, Alice and Jasper.

In the books, author Stephenie Meyer says that Carlisle was born in 1640 and was transformed into a vampire in 1663, when he was 23.

Considering that the plot of the first book takes place in 2005, the year of its publication, Carlisle would have been 365 years old at the start of the saga.

So how old is Edward Cullen?

The first to join the group was Edward, born in 1901 and turned vampire by Carlisle in 1918, when he was 17. For those who don’t know, Edward was dying of the flu and his mother begged Carlisle to save him. So Edward would be 104 years old.
