Andrew Stanton is a gifted screenwriter and director best known for his work at Pixar, creating some of the most beloved animations of all time.
His resume includes ‘Toy Story’, ‘A Bug’s Life’, ‘Finding Nemo’, ‘WALL-E’, ‘Finding Dory’, ‘Stranger Things’, ‘Better Call Saul’ and most recently science fiction. critically acclaimed. fi Apple science series ‘For All Mankind’.
And, according to The Hollywood Reporter, Stanton has been tapped to direct a sci-fi drama from Searchlight Pictures, titled “In the Blink of an Eye.”
Written by Colby Day, the project seeks to explore all of world history and address the nature of life, love, hope and human relationships, drawing inspiration from the films ‘2001: A Space Odyssey’ (Stanley Kubrick), ‘Interstellar’ (Christopher Nolan) and ‘Magnolia’ (Paul Thomas Anderson).
In addition to writing, Day will serve as executive producer, while Taylor Friedman, Searchlight’s senior vice president of production, and Apolline Berty, the studio’s creative director, will provide overall oversight.
