Tomato gnocchi with only two ingredients

Have you ever tried pasta with only two ingredients? Yes, this is right! Today we reveal one of the recipes that has been depopulated on all social networks: just search on Instagram and TikTok on which followers have gone wild for a tomato gnocchi recipe that can be made with only two ingredients!

Super versatile and easy to prepare, all you need is flour and tomato puree! On social networks they really created many variations of these dumplings, but instead we decided to make them even more “pomodoro”, and we seasoned them with a delicious amatriciana sauce and with very fresh stracciatella . We assure you that you will never be able to stop preparing them!

Ingredients for 2 people:

300g Flour 00 100ml tomato purée Salt To taste Basil 2 slices of Stracciatella bacon to taste

Gnocchi method with tomato sauce:

To make these delicious tomato gnocchi, you only need two ingredients: flour and tomato puree. Pour the flour into a bowl then the mashed potatoes, little by little, mix everything until you obtain a soft and not too sticky dough. The secret is that the consistency allows you to work it easily with your hands. Leave to rest for at least 15 minutes, then start forming sausages and lightly flour them so that the tomato gnocchi do not stick. While the gnocchi dough is resting, cut the bacon into thin strips and brown it in a hot skillet. Once it’s crisp, remove half of it from the pan and leave it on a plate, you’ll need it to decorate your gnocchi! Deglaze the remaining bacon in the pan with the wine and make sure that the alcohol evaporates well. Now add the rest of the tomato purée to the guanciale pan to make your amatriciana sauce and cook everything for at least 10 minutes during which you will certainly have to dilute the sauce with a little water. Then cut the gnocchi to the size you prefer and place them on a tray, spacing them slightly apart. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and add a little oil, this will prevent the gnocchi from sticking, when they rise to the surface they will be cooked and you can drain them. Then drain the gnocchi and add them to the delicious sauce you prepared earlier, serve adding basil and stracciatella as desired!
