According to Collider, Warner Bros. quotes Tom Holland (‘Spider-Man’) and Timothee Chalamet (‘Dune’) to experience the younger version of Willy Wonka in the spin-off film ‘The Fantastic Chocolate Factory’.
“Wonka” was announced in 2016 and has remained in limbo until now. At the time, the studio was considering Ryan Gosling, Ezra Miller and Donald Glover for the role.
With the character being around 20 years old in the film, the studio is now considering hiring Holland or Chalamet.
‘Wonka’ was confirmed today by Warner Bros. and hits theaters on March 17, 2023.
The project will not say the exact origin of the character, but will show his early adventures and may contain other well-known characters, like Charlie, for example.

Producer David Heyman revealed to Collider that the story will be a prequel, showing Wonka’s youth.
“We’re looking for the ideal story, but we already know it’s going to be a pre-streak. We’ll show you how Willy built the chocolate factory, the history of the Golden Ticket and what it was before that. Why did he isolate himself at the factory for years? Let’s explore this, ”he says.
