History of buttoning as much as possible, the application intends not to come up against sanctions that could affect minors or privacy and has decided to take additional measures.

In short, in fact, it will no longer be possible for minors to lead (or at least for those who have not lied about their age on the application). The platform has indeed decided to increase the age conditions for uploading and to apply restrictions for adults only. To motivate the choice, TikTok provided some examples such as that of comedy more suitable for over 18s or “if a host wanted to tell a particular life experience he could be more himself knowing that the conversation is only for to adults”.

The objective of the platform is clear: to make everyone free to express themselves without obvious censorship for security reasons and to button any complaint about it.
