Actor Ryan Hurst, who plays the God of Thunder in ‘God of War Ragnarok,’ in a recent interview with Variety, revealed he was inspired by a Marvel hero for the character, but it wasn’t. Thor by Chris Hemsworth, far from it.
The actor explained that, in fact, Ragnarok’s Thor displays uncontrollable amounts of fury and rage, which made him think of the Hulk.
“There’s a bit of that, which is like saying ‘Hulk smashes!’ “But in a way that involves more layers. The way I played it is that I would need superhuman amounts of strength, anger, and unpredictability,” the actor said.
“He was a powerful being, expressing feelings of regret through his voice,” he said.
