According to Deadline, Laurence O’Fuarain (“ Vikings ”) has joined the cast of the spin-off series “ The Witcher: Blood Origin ”, a pre-sequel to the original series developed by Netflix.

The actor will play Fjall, who was born into a clan of warriors who have sworn to protect the king. Fjall bears a deep scar: the death of a loved one, who was defeated in a battle trying to save him. It is a scar that will not allow you to heal. In his quest for redemption, Fjall will find himself alongside the most unlikely ally as he charts a path of vengeance on a turbulent continent.

Don’t forget that Jodie Turner-Smith (“Queen & Slim“) will star in the production. The actress will play Eile, an elite warrior with the voice of the gods, who leaves her clan and her position as guardian of the queen to follow her heart like nomadic music. However, a major confrontation on the continent forces him to return to action in his quest for revenge and redemption.

The production will take place in an elven world, 1,200 years before the events starring Geralt of Rivia (Henry Cavill) – and will show the creation of the first wizard.

“Blood Origin will tell a story lost in time – the origin of the first wizard and the events that led to the crucial conjunction of the spheres, when the world of monsters, men and elves merged into one. ”

Six episodes have been ordered for the spin-off.

Andrzej Sapkowski, author of the books, will be the creative consultant for the series.
