Season 1 of the ambitious ‘The Wheel of Time’ series hasn’t even started, but Amazon Studios is already anticipating and recently announced the start of recordings for the next cycle.
The good news was revealed via Twitter and accompanied by the first behind-the-scenes photo.

Previously, Deadline announced that the streaming platform will be with a panel at San Diego Comic-Con @ Home, bringing news of its upcoming titles.
Scheduled for July 23, the Amazon panel will air on SDCC’s official YouTube channel from 3 p.m.
The event will bring together producers, directors and showrunners of films and series, such as ‘A Roda do Tempo’.

Recalling that the initial season has not yet confirmed the release date, but we know that it will be released in 2021.
The production will feature Rosamund Pike, bringing to life Moiraine, a member of an organization known as Aes Sedai. She is at the head of a group of adventurers whose mission could change the world forever.
Alexandre Willaume (“Tomb Raider”) will play Thom Merrilin, a traveling artist who joins the protagonist on her journey to the beginning of the first book. Johann Myers will take on the role of Padan Fain, a cunning and treacherous merchant who will cross paths with characters for personal gain.
The cast also includes Madeleine Madden, who will bring Egwene Al’Vere to life; Marcus Rutherford, who will play Perrin Aybara; Barney Harris, who will play Mar Cauthon; Zoë Robins, who will play Nynaeve; Josha Stradowski, who will bring Rand Al’Thor to life; and Daniel Henney, who will play al’Lan Mandragoran.
Also among the cast are Priyanka Bose, Taylor Napier, Emmanuel Imani, Hammad Animashaun, Alvaro Morte, Pasha Bocarie, Jennifer Preston, Izuka Hoyle, Sophie Okonedo, Kae Alexander, Clare Perkins, Peter Franzen and Kate Fleetwood.

Rafe Judkins is responsible for the screenplay. For now, the first season will be based on ‘O Olho do Mundo’, the first volume in a series of fourteen novels released between 1990 and 2013.
