On the web we only talk about Sarah Jessica Parker, or rather Carrie Brashaw from the set of And Just Like That. In season two, the reporter wears her signature Vivienne Westwood wedding dress, but with a more modern twist. Here’s how it changed.

Some loves never fade. And Sarah Jessica Parker also proved it in one of the new episodes of And Just Like That. After the success of the first season, HBO decided to continue the adventures of Carrie Bradshaw and her friends in New York. The revival wowed viewers, who have been eagerly awaiting Carrie’s return for years. And, although the new episodes had to exclude Samantha (but not from the plot) by Kim Cattrall’s decision, the charm of Sex and the City has not yet disappeared.

And it’s like a blast from the past as new behind-the-scenes snaps of And Just Like That have leaked online. In the photos, Carrie Bradshaw dusted off a stunning collectible from her wardrobe which recalls one of the most traumatic days of her life. Remember when, in the first Sex and the City movie, she reached the altar only to be blocked seconds earlier by Big’s unsettling phone call? Planted at the altar on the spot, Carrie fled with her friends, sharing with them this honeymoon in Mexico, in the hope of coming out of her pain. So why, years later, did Carrie wear that dress again?

A revival also on the fashion side, the one proposed in And Just Like That. Carrie Bradshaw doesn’t give up on glamorous extravaganzas and this time she wanted to refresh her old wedding dress, which never had its moment of glory, considering the end of this adventure at the altar. In the new photos leaked online, the backstage of And Just Like That has re-proposed this Vivienne Westwood wedding dress in a more modern and certainly more colorful way.

Carrie walks down the sidewalk right outside her house wearing this gorgeous wedding dress enriched with shades of blue. At the feet, she wears an aqua green neckline reminiscent of the satin gloves and the beautiful tone-on-tone cape. To complete the look, the fishnet headdress with feather, recalls the original veil of the film dress.

Of course, we don’t know the context of the scene, so we don’t know why Carrie was wearing her wedding dress. But if there’s one thing Sex and the City and And Just Like That have taught over the years, it’s that Carrie doesn’t need a special occasion to wear something.
