‘The Walking Dead’: Norman Reedus and Melissa McBride reveal what we can expect from last season

In an interview with TVLine, Norman Reedus revealed what to expect from the final season of ‘The Walking Dead’, revealing that the final cycle will have a very different tone from previous seasons.

“It’s very surreal. Each season feels like a different show in some ways, but we’ve got a new setting in this latest cycle, new photography, and a new tone. The color scheme this season will be much more vibrant – it’s hard to get used to, and so are our characters. Looks like we’ve stepped on a Salvador Dalí painting.

Of Carol and Daryl’s relationship, Melissa McBride says, “At first they always try to mend their relationship and rebuild trust. I think they’ve come to terms with everything they’ve been through, but they still need to find that connection they had. Carol sort of has her tail between her legs, but she’s determined to make their relationship work.

The final cycle will begin on August 22, but because the plot will be split into three parts of eight episodes each, the season finale won’t be released until 2022.

Previously, showrunner Angela Kang revealed that the final episode of the entire series is already planned, but not yet written.

“No. We haven’t written the final episode yet. But everything is already planned because the studio and the broadcaster [AMC] they wanted to make sure everything was already done so that we didn’t go out of line or invent anything out of schedule.

And since the main characters from the comics, such as Michonne (Danai Gurira) or Carl (Chandler Riggs) and Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) are not here, the end of the series will not be similar to the original material written by Robert Kirkman. .

“In the series, we have such a different lineup of characters from the end of the comic… Andrew [Lincoln] came out for family reasons, we have several cast members who are also gone, we have characters like Carol (Melissa McBride) who is from the start as well as the character from the comics. We have Daryl (Norman Reedus), who doesn’t even exist in the comics… So I naturally think there’s this process where part of the history of the comics no longer applies to what we see. in adaptation.
