On his Twitter profile, director James Gunn announced that the adult trailer for “ The Suicide Squad ” broke a new record of most watched in a week.
In less than seven days, the Anti-Hero Team trailer scored 150 million views and was a hit because of the bad words and bloody scenes, like the King Shark crushing one person in two.
Previously, the podium had been won by the R-Rated trailer for the ‘Mortal Kombat’ remake, with 116 million views in the same period.
In the post, Gunn celebrated the news by saying:
“I just learned that the R-Rated trailer for ‘The Suicide Squad’ set a new adult trailer view record in one week, with over 150 million views worldwide. I am extremely grateful to all of you for making this possible! THANK YOU!”
