‘The Suicide Squad’: James Gunn reveals his BIGGEST cinematic regret

Acclaimed director and screenwriter James Gunn’s “The Suicide Squad” is hitting theaters around the world very soon – and in a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, he commented on the biggest regret he has from the production involving Margot Robbie and his character, Harlequin.

“The hardest thing I asked her to do was something I never thought she could do. There is a scene where Margot is suspended by handcuffs above her head and she has to use her feet to move a corpse, get a key, do a stunt to open the lock and then fall to the ground. And she’s a human Swiss key and she managed to do it all.

He continues: “And I honestly watch [minha cena] Favorite – torturing Margot was my favorite day. […] And then I walk into the editing room and there’s something near your ear, in your costume covering your face – and it looks like it’s a stuntman making the movie, and that’s my biggest regret. For the movie. I was so shocked at what you were doing that I didn’t watch.

It’s worth remembering that Harlequina was included in the new movie at the special request of Warner Bros ..

The actress made her debut as a character in 2016’s “Suicide Squad,” and was one of the only highlights of the production.

“I wanted to create what I consider to be the Suicide Squad. For me, reacting to the film David would overshadow the film David. I wanted him to be completely mine. When Warner Bros. said he wanted me to do this, I watched the first movie for the first time, called him back and said: what do I have to hide from this movie? And they said, nothing. They said, “Look, we would love if Margot was in the movie, but she doesn’t have to be.” You can make up all the new characters or keep all of the same characters, ”Gunn told The New York Times.

Recently, Margot Robbie revealed that she will cease living in Harlequin for a while after “The Suicide Squad”.

“It was an experience to then shoot Birds of Prey and O Esquadrão Suicida. But playing Arlequina is exhausting and I need a break, ”the actress told EW.
