A very Sicilian film, which speaks Sicilian and shows the Sicilian character, both the cultured and the literate of its Nobel laureates and that of the people. Even if these people aspire to act as a professional “amateur”. Roberto Andò packs an astonishing strangeness thanks to Toni Servillo, Ficarra and Picone. In theaters from October 27.

Synopsis of La Stranezza: Toni Servillo is the creative anguish of Pirandello

The arrival at Girgenti is marked by painful news: the death of octogenarian nurse Maria Stella. Honoring his disappearance leads Maestro Pirandello incognito to meet two cassamortari (gravediggers, editor’s note) Onofrio Principato (Valentino Picone) and Sebastiano Vella (Salvo Ficarra) – Nofrio and Bastiano – who, in their spare time, enjoy directing a theater company.
