“The Queen’s Gambit” has become one of Netflix’s best original productions of the past decade and continues to reap rewards.
Now, the miniseries has been one of the top 2021 Emmy nominees, garnering no less than 18 nominations. Anya Taylor-Joy is the favorite to win the Best Actress in a Limited Series statuette for her incredible performance as Beth Harmon; other nominations include Outstanding Limited Series, Outstanding Limited Series Supporting Actor for Thomas Brodie-Sangster, and Outstanding Limited Series Supporting Actress for Moses Ingram.
The series is based on the novel of the same name by Walter Trevis, released in 1983.
