‘The Pale Blue Eye’: New thriller poster pays homage to Edgar Allan Poe’s tale

Netflix has released the new poster for “The Pale Blue Eye,” a thriller starring Christian Bale (“Batman Begins”).

The art bears the tagline: “Every Heart Tells a Story”, which is a direct reference to Edgar Allan Poe’s classic tale, “The Revealing Heart”.

Written and directed by Scott Cooper, the film is based on the novel of the same name by Louis Bayard.

In 1830, a detective is hired to investigate, very discreetly, the terrible murder of one of the cadets of the West Point Military Academy. However, the cadets’ law of silence proves to be an inescapable obstacle to the investigation, leading the detective to seek the help of one of the academy’s students: a young man who will go down in history as by Edgar Allan Poe.
