‘The Mayfair Witches’: WITCHES series based on Anne Rice’s saga gets full trailer

AMC has released the full trailer for the adaptation of “Mayfair Witches”, a series based on Anne Rice’s eponymous saga.

The production will officially premiere on January 5.

The series stars Alexandra Daddario, who will play Rowan Mayfair, a brilliant doctor struggling with her destiny as heir to a powerful family of witches.

The cast also includes Harry Hamlin, Annabeth Gish, Tongayi Chirisa, Beth Grant, Erica Gimpel, Jen Richards and Maura Grace Athari.

This Spaulding (“Masters of Sex”) and Michelle Ashford (“The Pacific”) are writing the screenplay, in addition to serving as executive producers.

The plot centers on a young neurosurgeon who discovers that she is the unlikely heir to a family of witches. As she tries to figure out her powers, she must face a sinister presence that has haunted her family for generations.

Recall that the chain has also given the green light to another adaptation of Anne Rice, “Interview With the Vampire”, with Sam Reid in the role of the vampire Lestat.
