In both seasons of “The Mandalorinao”, “Star Wars” fans were presented with various action sequences, including space battles, wars between soldiers, and more personal confrontations between the characters.

And that job was not at all easy for stunt coordinator Ryan Watson.

In an interview with The Hollywwod Reporter, he detailed the process of recording the scenes and revealed his biggest challenge in composing the attraction’s performances.

“Our biggest challenge was to not only deliver the action scenes, but also to ensure that those sequences were shot while the actors focused on deepening their performances and facial expressions. The privacy of cameras, position markings, streetlights and those microphones everywhere can be quite threatening at times.

He continued:

“For an action scene, it’s not enough to decorate a choreography or acrobatics, the actors have to be attentive to all these details, and our obligation as coordinators is to make the rehearsals fit into all this technical structure. Before you think about each movement, you should be aware that the shots will be recorded from different angles and directions… Carrying out each of these steps is a very long and exhausting process.

Well if you thought recording a fight scene was easy, Watson is here to prove that the job of stuntmen and performers is harder than audiences might imagine.

Speaking of which, which action scene did you like the most in season 2?

Recalling that all episodes are already available on Disney +.

Created by Jon Favreau (from the live-action ‘The Lion King’), the series is set in the same universe as the ‘Star Wars’ franchise.

The plot takes place after the fall of the Empire and before the insurrection of the First Order. The story follows the journey of a lone gunner to the far reaches of the galaxy, far from the authority of the New Republic.

The cast includes Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, Giancarlo Esposito, Emily Swallow, Carl Weathers, Omid Abtahi, Nick Nolte and Werner Herzog.
