The horror hits nationwide theaters on August 26.
The film follows Anthony, a vocal artist in Chicago who researches the urban legend of Candyman. After investigating the last known location of the killer, strange murders begin to take place around Anthony. The protagonist will play a role similar to that of Helen Lyle, the main character of the original film.
Abdul-Mateen II will be the villain of the new film, and the cast also includes Nathan Stewart-Jarrett, Colman Domingo and Teyonah Parris.
