Vittorio Boiocchi’s name appears in an investigation by the Milan public prosecutor’s office, which has not yet been concluded, into the sale of tickets for the stadium and the possibility of blackmail and extortion by the Nerazzurri club.
The historic ultrà chief of Inter, killed on Saturday October 29 by two shots, just before the start of the Inter-Sampdoria game could be somehow linked to the investigation into dirty money, criminal cases and interests economic behind the curves of the ultra and the organization of sporting events.
Boiocchi, 69, was shot twice near his home in Milan’s Figino district on Saturday night.
The case was opened in 2019, after the clashes between the ultras of Inter and those of Napoli that took place before the match on December 26, 2018, in which Inter player Dede Belardinelli died.
In the same area, Boiocchi was also released from prison after 26 years in prison, although in 2021 he was placed under special surveillance for an extortion attempt worth 2 million euros . The Corriere della Sera reports that he has returned to the curve, proclaiming himself the head of the North curve.
Boiocchi would have violently ousted the former bosses, sharing the business with a few members of the new management of the curve, to whom he would have entrusted the purchase and sale of certain state notes.
Extortion of Inter executives and business with the ‘Ndrangheta
The Milan prosecution’s investigation hypothesized the crime of conspiracy because some Inter executives provided discounted or free tickets to ultra leaders. Four executives were investigated, but then the investigations were dismissed because according to the prosecutor “they were in fact victims of the threatening and extortionate behavior of the leaders of the supporters and therefore, if necessary, of the offended persons by crime”.
That would be 2 thousand extorted coupons. Last year, the name of the historical leader ultrà was also linked to the investigation of the Antimafia Cavalli di race, on certain interests of the Piromalli clan in Lombardy.
Boiocchi reportedly took part in a meeting on July 27, 2020 via Correggio in Milan with two well-known faces of the Lombard underworld: Calabrian boss Vincenzo Facchineri and Antonio Canito, both of whom revolved around the stadium environment.
The parking racket
In addition to the purchase and sale of tickets, there would also be the question of parking in the stadiums, still in the context of cases linked to the extortion of certain ultras against Inter executives. In an environmental interception, Boiocchi in 2021 said he received “80 thousand euros per month”. This deal was reportedly handled with two Rossoneri, and involved people from the ‘Ndrangheta Iamonte family.
