Robert KingWhen an artist plays a striking character, many people often associate them with that character for the rest of their life.
As is the case with Matthew Lewis, who brought Neville Longbottom to life in the “Harry Potter” films.
For those who don’t remember, Neville was still shy and insecure due to his looks and lack of skills.
And it seems that this insecurity has affected the life of Lewis as well, who prefers not to watch the movies to avoid comparing himself to the character himself.
During an interview with the New York Times, the star revealed her fear of seeing movies again.
Enjoy watching:
“I find it very difficult when a lot of me start to appear in a character. I’ve always been very shy and insecure, so when I see Neville, I don’t see the character, I see myself. It’s easier when I can play someone completely different, like a cop in London or someone rich and snobby, because I’m not like that.
Despite this, the star said he loves the character and the franchise because they are part of a very important moment in his life.
“Harry Potter has opened so many doors for me that I really like the franchise. Without this job, I don’t think I would even have an acting career. There are worse things than remembering a skinny boy. He joked.
Speaking of which, we’ve separated a special list here to find out what are the best and worst movies of this beloved series that has left many orphaned fans across the globe.
