‘The Fast and the Furious’: Vin Diesel reveals which actor he would like to be in the franchise

In an interview with Digital Spy, Vin Diesel revealed which actor he would like to feature in the ‘Fast and the Furious’ franchise, as well as confirm some names that will return for future sequels.

“Do you know who I would love to be in the franchise?” Personally, I would like my partner Michael Caine to have a role [nas próximas sequências]. I was in ‘The Last Witch Hunter’, and I’m so grateful to have worked with him on this movie.

He adds: “In the next films we will have Charlize [Theron], Michael Rooker, Cardi B, Helen Mirren, [Jason] Statham and Dwayne [Johnson]. We’ll have to wait and see who else will participate.

Previously, Diesel had revealed that the next two films in the billion dollar saga would be the last and that both would be shot simultaneously – even taking the opportunity to reveal the films’ release predictions.

“It will be simultaneous. The idea is to launch them in February 2023 and February 2024 respectively. We should have released [‘Velozes e Furiosos 9’] last year, before the pandemic. So I think what’s going to be different about the release is that we’re going to have a year of development and pre-production for ‘The Fast and the Furious 10’. And so I do these interviews and it’s weird because I have to go back to the ninth movie. I’m celebrating the launch, but I have so much more to celebrate.

Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) has always lived at full speed. After the loss of his best friend and the discovery of his son, he slows down with Letty (Michelle Rodriguez). But it’s not easy to live in the present when the past is accelerating towards you. And that’s what happens when Dom reunites with his brother Jacob Toretto (John Cena), who is pushed by Cypher (Charlize Theron) and Magdalene Shaw (Helen Mirren) to carry out a revenge plot. It’s time for Dom to reunite Sister Mia (Jordana Brewster) and the family of loyal friends such as Roman (Tyrese Gibson), Tej (Ludacris) and Han (Sung Kang).

Directed by Justin Lin, the film also features Finn Cole, Anna Sawai, Vinnie Bennett, and Michael Rooker.
