‘The Equalizer’: Chris Noth fired from show after allegations of sexual abuse

According to TVLine, actor Chris Noth (“Sex and the City”) was fired from the series “The Equalizer” after being accused of sexual abuse.

“Chris North will not appear in new episodes of ‘The Equalizer’,” Universal Television and CBS said in an official statement.

There is no information on how the writers will handle the character’s departure, but the actor will continue to appear in episodes already filmed.

The Hollywood Reporter website reported that three different women had accused the actor of sexual abuse. One revealed that she was raped by North in 2004 in the city of Los Angeles; another reported being mistreated in 2010; and the third commented that she was sexually assaulted by the star in 2015 in New York City.
