At the Rome Film Festival 2022 also comes the turn of La California, a film directed by Cinzia Bomoll with Le Donatella, the artistic duo composed of Silvia and Giulia Provvedi. On the red carpet, the actresses proposed different but complementary looks.

The Donatellas reappeared on the red carpet at the Rome Film Fest 2022 to present their new film. It’s called La California and was featured at the event in the Freestyle section. Directed by Cinzia Bomoll, the film features Silvia and Giulia Provvedi for the first time as a duo of protagonists. An important start for the Donatellas, known on the music scene as much as on television but who, for the first time, wanted to try their hand at a project on the big screen as protagonists.

California is expected in theaters from November 10, 2022 and will tell the story of Ester and Alice, two twin sisters as different as they are in some ways similar and very close. “Troubled souls, different souls but capable of doing everything not to get lost,” explained the actresses. The film is set in the Emilian countryside and is cataloged as a coming-of-age story with a thriller twist.

Meanwhile, on the actresses’ red carpet debut at the movies, The Donatella hasn’t given up on style and comes up with a look that represents their characters, albeit vaguely. Silvia chose a long total black dress, which plays with transparencies and is covered with lace and sequins. To complete the look, diamond pendants and silver necklace by Monaco Gioielli. Giulia, meanwhile, chose total gold, a dress with a slit in the central skirt, a belt and a maxi neckline. All covered in shiny champagne sequins.
