“The Dark World of Sabrina”: the Netflix series to have a sequel in the comic

The last episodes of ‘The Dark World of Sabrina’ came out in December of last year, after the Netflix series was canceled after 2 seasons (split into 4 parts).

Despite the conclusive ending to the story of the Little Witch experienced by Kiernan Shipka, the denouement was widely criticized by fans.

Plus, many believe the cancellation sped up the story, as there was still a lot to be said.

However, the Comic Book reported that Archie Comics has announced that it will be releasing a comic book series continuing the plot of the TV series.

Entitled “The Hidden World of Sabrina,” the comic was heralded with the return of the original comics that resulted in the Netflix adaptation.

For those who do not know, the publications of ‘O Mundo Sombrio de Sabrina’ had been on hiatus for almost four years, the last publication having taken place in August 2017.

The next volume of the comic will be released on October 13 and will reunite adaptation creator and showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa with original series artist Robert Hack.

The issue will continue the plot of “Witch Wars” and pit Spellman against Spellman and the dead against the living.

As for “The Hidden World of Sabrina,” the comic should start where the events of the TV series left off.

Written by Aguirre-Sacasa with art from Audrey Mok (“Josie and the Kittens”), the comic will feature characters and stories from the TV series, beginning with an arc aptly titled “One World without Sabrina “.

Bringing Sabrina, her family and friends to life on the Netflix screen was a dark dream come true, and I couldn’t be prouder of our four seasons, but it all started with a comic book series that was truly a labor of love. from everyone who worked on it, “Aguirre-Sacasa said in a statement.” Meeting Robert Hack and the whole Archie Comics team and picking up where we left off was the best way back to the house I could have asked for. “

At this time, no release is planned for the comic book sequel to the television series.

Remember that all the seasons of the adaptation are still available on Netflix.

The series was created by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (‘Riverdale’).

Over the course of the eight episodes of Part 4, terrors of the supernatural befall Greendale. The clan must fight all terrifying threats (The Stranger, The Returnee, The Darkness, to name a few), all leading to The Void, which is the end of all things. As the witches wage war, with help from the Fear Club, Nick slowly begins to regain Sabrina’s heart, but is it too late?

The cast includes Kiernan Shipka, Ross Lynch, Lucy Davis, Chance Perdomo, Michelle Gomez, Jaz Sinclair, Tati Gabrielle, Adeline Rudolph, Richard Coyle, Miranda Otto, Abigail F. Cowen and Lachlan Watson.
