‘The Chosen’ is CANCELED by Disney + after one season

Disney + has officially canceled “ The Right Stuff ” series after just one season.

According to Deadline, Warner Bros. The television will try to sell the production to other media. The cancellation was said to have taken place due to the restructuring of National Geographic.

If production continues on a new broadcaster or streaming service, the new season may feature the original cast in a different time frame or a completely new cast.

“The Chosen” is National Geographic’s first original work. Based on the eponymous non-fiction novel by Tom Wolfe, it revolves around seven of the best military pilots who became astronauts in the NASA space program during the height of the Cold War. Competing to be the first in space, these ordinary men achieve the extraordinary, inspiring the country to look to a new horizon of ambition and hope.

The series is produced by Leonardo DiCaprio, with Mark Lafferty entering as showrunner.

The series consists of eight episodes and stars Patrick J. Adams, Jake McDorman, Colin O’Donoghue, Michael Trotter, Aaron Staton, Micah Stock, James Lafferty, Nora Zehetner, Shannon Lucio, Eloise Mumford, Eric Ladin and Patrick Fischler.
