On the game’s official website, Gun Interactive’s Ronnie Hobbs revealed new gameplay details based on the Chainsaw Massacre franchise, which will feature ORIGINAL members of the Leatherface family.
Players will be able to play as Leatherface, the cook, the hitchhiker, and several other original assassins that the developers have created exclusively for the game, presenting them as part of the Sawyer family.
“The game will revolve around the family. The Cook, Backpacker, and Leatherface are assassins with specific tasks to complete. Separated, the family simply could not exist and function effectively for very long. So while we were making the game, we knew family dynamics had to be important. Soon it became apparent that we needed more family members to be able to create the experience we were anticipating. ”
He adds, “While they’re interesting, three assassins just wouldn’t be enough to keep the game going for long. We needed more. Fortunately, Kim Henkel helped us solve this problem. Kim had several ideas for additional characters that were cut from the 1974 film, and that also allowed us to create some original family members. I knew the new characters had to be unique and memorable, but not feel out of place. They needed to stand out, but not in a negative way.

The game will be an asymmetric online multiplayer, much like the popular “Dead by Daylight”.
Unfortunately, there is no release forecast yet.
It’s worth remembering that Netflix will be releasing the franchise’s new film, titled “Texas The Chainsaw Massacre: The Return of Leatherface,” on its streaming service on February 18th.

Fede Álvarez, director of “The Death of the Devil” and “The Man in the Dark”, is producing the new version.
After nearly 50 years in hiding, Leatherface returns to terrorize a group of idealistic young friends who accidentally disrupt his carefully guarded world in a remote Texas town.
Melody (Sarah Yarkin), her teenage sister Lila (Elsie Fisher), and their friends Dante (Jacob Latimore) and Ruth (Nell Hudson) travel to a remote Texas town to start a new business venture. But the dream quickly turns into a nightmare when they accidentally disrupt the home of Leatherface, the crazed serial killer whose bloody legacy continues to haunt locals – including Sally Hardesty (Olwen Fouéré), the sole survivor of his infamous 1973 massacre, which seeks revenge.
Recall that the legendary Sally Hardesty, the sole survivor of the 1974 film, will return in the new film. The character will be played by Olwen Fouéré (“Contagion on the high seas”).
Mark Burnham (‘Lowlife’) will play the new Leatherface. David Blue Garcia (‘Tejano’) is responsible for the management.
The cast also includes Elsie Fisher (“Eighth Year”), Sarah Yarkin (“Death Congratulates You 2”), Jacob Latimore (“Maze Runner: Run or Die”) and Moe Dunford (“Vikings“).
Chris Thomas Devlin, known for his work in the horror film “Cobweb“, wrote the screenplay for the new film.
