“The Boys”: Amazon Releases Hilarious Short Film As Audiences Await Season 3; Watch!

While fans of ‘The Boys’ await the release of Season 3, Amazon Prime has released a short film to prepare audiences for the new episodes.

The video is a satirical newscast produced by Vought, the company that manages the creation and image of “superheroes” in the public eye.

The newscast recaps the main plot developments of Season 2 and details what some of the characters did during the hiatus until next season.

We see that Captain Homeland (Antony Starr) has been isolated inside the Vought Tower, while Hughie (Jack Quaid) has become a senior analyst for the Federal Office of Superhuman Affairs, among other developments.

Vought even creates a false response to the disappearance of Blindspot, this blind hero injured by Captain Patria, saying he has been sent on a secret mission to Argentina.

Like much of the show’s comedy, the Vought News Network video is also a satire of Fox News, one of the most-watched TV news in the United States.

The red, white and blue aesthetic, showcased by presenter Cameron Coleman (Matthew Edison, who will also appear in Season 3), and the overall tone clearly copy the look of the network.

Remember that there is still no preview for the 3rd season.

Previously, Starr had told TVLine that the new season would be the show’s best, while saying viewers would “turn around” when they watch it.

“The third season will be one of the best I have ever had the chance to participate in. I had a lot of fun in season two, and thought it was really cool that they raised the bar compared to season one. And season three is an extension of that.

He adds: “It’s my favorite season for reasons I can’t say. I’m always curious to see what the writers are up to for us, so it’s a great feeling to see that I continue to be blown away by the script. All I can say is fans are going to freak out about season three.

Don’t forget that the new cycle will feature Jensen Ackles (Soldier Boy), Laurie Holden (Countess Crimson), Sean Patrick Flanery (Supersonic), Nick Wechsler (Blue Hawk) and Miles Gaston Villanueva (Gunpowder).
