During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the star was asked about the failure of the adaptation, but said he was happy with the reception it has received since the film’s premiere on the streaming platform .

“It’s so weird, it feels like the movie took on another life when it debuted on Netflix a year ago. People stop me all the time to talk about it, especially in Europe. Kitsch also clarified that he had no resentment over the poor reviews the film received.
