‘Super Pumped’: Joseph Gordon-Levitt to play Uber CEO in anthology series

According to Variety, Joseph Gordon-Levitt will play former Uber CEO Travis Kalanick in the anthology series called “ Super Pumped. ”

Produced by Showtime, the first season will be based on the book “Super Pumped: The Battle for Uber,” written by Mike Issac, technology reporter for The New York Times.

The plot will accompany the founding and growth of Uber, as well as the various controversies in which the company is engaged until the departure of Kalanick, fired for promoting a toxic environment among employees.

Additionally, the businessman has previously been charged with sexual harassment, abuse of power and fraudulent business practices.

In development since 2019, the attraction will be produced by Brian Koppelman and David Levien, creators of ‘Billions‘.

The idea of ​​each season is to present stories that rocked the business world and impacted the culture and way of life in today’s society.
