Stefano and Ilaria Cucchi’s mother, Rita Calore, died on October 17. The announcement was made on Facebook by lawyer Fabio Anselmo, lawyer, and now also partner, of Ilaria Cucchi, new senator elected in Florence during the elections of September 25th.

Stefano Cucchi, 31, is the Roman surveyor who died on October 22, 2009 at Pertini Hospital in Rome while in police custody, a week after his arrest. His sister Ilaria, elected to the Senate on September 25, 2022, has always fought for the truth about the death of her brother to be established and for justice to be done.

The Cucchi Affair

According to what was reported in the free encyclopedia Wikipedia, on April 4, 2022, the Court of Cassation definitively sentenced the carabinieri Alessio Di Bernardo and Raffaele D’Alessandro to 12 years in prison for intentional murder. In the opinion of the judges, the death of Stefano Cucchi, although also caused by the subsequent negligent conduct of the doctors at the Pertini Hospital, was unequivocally linked to the beating of the Carabinieri Di Bernardo and D’Alessandro.
