According to reporter Daniel Ritchman, director Sam Raimi was responsible for bringing Alfred Molina and Kirsten Dunst back as Dr. Octopus and Mary Jane Watson in the upcoming Spider-Man movie to the MCU.
Raimi, director of Cabeça de Teia’s first trilogy, helped convince the stars to reprise their roles by mentioning that he would serve as some sort of consultant in the Jon Watts-directed streak.
It has not been revealed how Andrew Garfield joined the cast, but it is possible that Raimi encouraged Marvel Studios to involve all film versions of the hero to compose Spider-Man.
Additionally, Ritchman has indicated that the events of “WandaVision” and “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” will be directly related to “Spider-Man 3”.
This latest revelation is hardly a surprise, considering Benedict Cumberbatch’s participation in the sequel.
Previously, The Illuminerdi reported that Willem Dafoe and Thomas Hayden Church were in negotiations to return as the Green Goblin and Sandman, villains of the Raimi Trilogy.
Tobey Maguire and Emma Stone are also negotiating their return for the new film. Maguire was the first Peter Parker in the Raimi films, and Stone played Gwen Stacy in “ The Amazing Spider-Man ”.
Additionally, Murphy’s Multiverse has announced that Charlie Cox will reprise his role as Matt Murdock / Daredevil in the long-awaited sequel.
Enjoy watching:
Cox brought the character to life in the canceled Netflix series in 2018, and many fans have already asked for the hero to be saved in the MCU.
At this time, Marvel and Sony have not commented on the information, but the portal has a very reliable record regarding MCU production.
Dr. Octopus and Electro are back! What else do we want to see in ‘Spider-Man 3’?
So, are you excited by the news?
The film is expected to follow Peter Parker’s new battle after being publicly exposed by J. Jonah Jameson at the end of “ Spider-Man: Far From Home. ”
The sequel’s premiere is still scheduled for December 17, 2021, but the launch may be affected due to the postponement of production (which was previously scheduled to begin in July).
In addition to Tom Holland’s return as the titular character, Zendaya will reprise his role as MJ. And it’s very likely that a large chunk of the cast will return as well, including Marisa Tomei and Jacob Batalon.
Recalling that Amy Pascal will act as producer of the sequence alongside Kevin Feige, representing Sony and Marvel respectively.
