‘Spaceman’: Paul Dano joins the cast of Netflix’s new sci-fi

According to Deadline, Paul Dano, who will play villainous Riddler in the upcoming “ Batman, ” has joined the cast of “ Spaceman, ” Netflix’s new sci-fi starring Adam Sandler.

In addition to him, Kunal Nayyar (“The Big Bang Theory”) also joined the cast.

Carey Mulligan (“Beautiful Vengeance”) will play Sandler’s character’s wife.

The production is based on the book Spaceman of Bohemia, written by Jaroslav Kalfař.

Johan Renck (“Chernobyl”) will be responsible for the management.

In the film, Sandler will play an astronaut who has been sent to the edge of the galaxy to collect ancient and mysterious dust. But as life on Earth begins to crumble, he needs the help of an ancient creature that has been hiding on his ship to save humanity.

The screenplay for the adaptation was written by Colby Day.
