Liongaste has released the official trailer for “Silk Road”, an online drug trafficking spy thriller.
The film opens on February 19, 2021 in the United States, with no prediction of arrival in Brazil.

Written and directed by Tiller Russell (‘Chicago Fire’; Chicago PD), the film is based on real events and follows the youth of Ross Ulbricht (Nick Robinson) as he follows his journey until he becomes the hacker known as Dread Pirate Roberts.

Bypassing several IT laws, Ulbricht paves the way for the creation of the first anonymous internet commerce network for drug trafficking through the Silk Road website.
The feature film also stars Jason Clark, who plays Rick Bowden, a narcotics officer known for his tough temper acquired through street work.
Ulbricht’s story was first revealed in the article “Dead End on Silk Road: Internet Crime Kingpin Ross Ulbricht’s Big Fall”, written by journalist David Kushner for Rolling Stone magazine.
The cast also includes Alexandra Shipp (‘X-Men: Dark Phoenix’), Jimmi Simpson (‘Westworld’), Katie Aselton (‘Legion’), Lexi Rabe (‘Avengers: Endgame’), Daniel Stewart (‘Icon’) , Darrell Britt-Gibson (“Barry”) and Paul Walter Hauser (“Cobra Kai”).
