According to Deadline, Joel Kinnaman will star in the upcoming film from director John Woo, responsible for ‘Mission Impossible 2’.
Entitled “Silent Night”, it will be the iconic Chinese filmmaker’s first American action film in decades since the making of “The Pay” in 2003.
Interestingly, the film is described as a loud action thriller, but without any dialogue, in a plot in which a father infiltrates the criminal underworld to avenge the death of his son.
As of now, there is still no information on the rest of the cast and the production is in negotiations to be funded by Capstone.
As such, there is no early forecast and distribution is being negotiated through the American Film Market.
Meanwhile, it’s worth remembering that Kinnaman’s latest film is “The Suicide Squad”.
