Masahiro Ito, who previously worked on the franchise, may be involved now, as he retweeted the announcement.
Rumors indicate that we should see new games announced, as there are several in development. Whether that will be confirmed now remains to be seen.
It should be remembered that ‘Silent Hills: PT’ was the last product released in the franchise and was released exclusively for PlayStation 4, developed by Kojima Productions, in partnership with filmmaker Guillermo Del Toro. The game served as a teaser for “Silent Hills”, a game that would star Norman Reedus, but was later cancelled.
