There are only five days left for the premiere of ‘She-Hulk: Defender of Heroes’, and the attraction is expected to feature several comic book characters.

Unfortunately, characters from the “Spider-Man” universe were banned from appearing on the show.

Since the image rights for the franchise belong to Sony, the studio didn’t grant Marvel the freedom to use them in the attraction.

The information was revealed by creator and editor Jessica Gao in an interview with The Direct.

“There were a lot of comic book characters that we wanted to bring into the show in funny situations related to legal issues. Unfortunately, we were prohibited from using a lot of them due to proprietary rights. We We insisted a lot, but all they said was that they had other plans for these characters.

She continued:

Have fun watching:

“But what upset us the most was not being able to use Spider-Man or any of the characters involved at his base. Many of our writers are fans of the Spider-Man universe and were eager to create stories with these characters.

On the other hand, the series will see Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) don the Daredevil costume for the first time since the cancellation of the Netflix series.

Even so, those expecting to see the character with a dark tone like in his TV series may be disappointed.

Earlier, Gao told the portal that:

“The funniest thing about introducing Daredevil to our world is that people have already seen a very dramatic, violent, dark, brooding Daredevil, and now they can see a more laid-back, charismatic side. We’re doing that With every character introduced in the MCU, we deconstruct the image they have and make them more suited to the lighter tone of “She-Hulk.”

She continued, praising Cox’s versatility:

“It’s a challenge for the actors because they were used to what they were doing before, but Charlie is so wonderful. He’s so willing to do whatever it takes, and on top of being such an actor talented, he’s a nice human being.”

We just have to wait for the premiere to find out how the interaction between the duo will unfold.

Remember that the episodes will be available on Disney + from August 18.

The plot follows Jennifer Walters (Maslany), a lawyer specializing in superhuman legal cases, begins to gain Hulk-like powers after receiving an emergency blood transfusion from Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo), her cousin.

“This new comedy series sees Bruce Banner help his cousin Jennifer Walters when she needs an emergency blood transfusion and guess what? She also receives her powers. Tatiana Maslany will play Jennifer, who is a lawyer specializing in superhuman legal cases, while Mark Ruffalo returns as the Hulk alongside Tim Roth the Abomination.

The cast also includes Jameela Jamil, Ginger Gonzaga, Griffin Mathews, Renée Elise Goldsberry and Josh Segarra. Rapper Megan Thee Stallion will make guest appearances in the production.

Kevin Feige, Creative Director of Marvel Studios, said the series will have 10 episodes of about 30 minutes each.
