“Shazam! 2: Fury of the Gods’: filming of the sequel begins!

On his official Instagram, director David F. Sandberg posted a new behind-the-scenes photo from the sequel ‘Shazam! 2: Furies of the gods ”.

The image, which shows a video camera with the logo of the suite. In the comments, the director confirmed that the film has been in production “for a few days”.

Recalling that the premiere of the film is scheduled for November 4, 2022 in North American theaters.

In an interview with Backstory Magazine, Sandberg revealed that Billy Batson and his alter ego must face off against Mr. Brain (Mister Mind, in the original version) in the footage.

“It looks like we could do more with the Shazam family. We featured them in the first movie, but we want to explore how they function as a family of heroes. And we did a little scene with Mr. Brain, and we want to continue on that path. Or we can introduce another villain. There are a lot of choices in Shazam’s world, ”he said.

The Lord Brain is a species of alien larvae from the planet Venus, chosen on your planet to infiltrate Earth.

Zachary Levi returns as the titular character. Asher Angel, Adam Brody, Rachel Zegler, Helen Mirren and Lucy Liu complete the cast.

Henry Gayden is also returning as a screenwriter. Peter Safran enters as producer.

The original film was critically acclaimed (reaching 90% approval on the Rotten Tomatoes website), in addition to making over $ 365 million at the global box office.
