“Secret Invasion”: New Marvel Series Wins Official Production Title; Know what it is!

Marvel Studios confirmed on Investor Day last year that it was working on another original series centered around iconic character Nick Fury (played by Samuel L. Jackson in the Marvel Cinematic Universe), “ Secret Invasion ” (“ Secret Invasion ”).

Now Disney + has revealed the project is being overseen under the production title “ Changeup Productions ” – which doesn’t appear to reveal any plot details.

In a recent interview with Collider, President Kevin Feige explained why he decided to turn the work into a series rather than a movie.

“We’re interested in the political paranoia aspect of Secret Invasion and we’re really showing the space with our stars Samuel L. Jackson and Ben Mendelsohn, two amazing actors that you want to have on any show, and we’re very lucky to have them with us. That’s the main focus of this, and of course, it will connect with other things and Skrulls in a way you’ve never seen before. But we wanted to do this in series because it would allow us to do something different than what we were doing before. ”

It’ll be thrilling to see this big comedic event unfold in six episodes, instead of being reduced to a two-hour movie.

The production will star Jackson and Ben Mendelsohn (Skrull Talos, from “Captain Marvel”).

It’s worth remembering that in “ Spider-Man: Away from Home, ” Talos took on the form of Nick Fury throughout the narrative, while the real agent was off the planet, dealing with issues not specified.

‘Secret Invasion’ will be inspired by the homonymous comics released in 2008, where Marvel heroes discover that their friends and foes have been secretly replaced by Skrulls, a form-changing alien race.

“Just as not all humans are bad, not all humans are good. I believe the Skrulls probably have the same variety of morals among them, ”Kevin Feige said in an interview with ComicBook in 2019.“ When they get the chance to use their skills, it’s probably very tempting. It is interesting to present this concept and to see where it will take us.

New information on the series is expected to be released soon.
