Melissa Barrera, who plays Sam Carpenter in Scream 6, revealed the details of the new film and how screenwriters James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick took inspiration from their real-life friendship with Courteney Cox for use on screen:

“This time the directors, Matt and Tyler, had more creative freedom for this sequence. We’ll see more about Sam and Gale’s relationship. Both will have plenty of screen time. And that’s really cool because I feel like the writers did a really good job of… Now that they’ve seen us, now that they know us, it all seems mixed. They take things from real life and try to insert them [no roteiro] because these movies are always very meta. 🇧🇷

Last week, actress Jenna Ortega revealed that the film will feature plenty of chase sequences.

“I am very excited [com ‘Pânico 6’] because there will be great chase scenes. It will be very similar to ‘Scream 2’, which has the chase scene between Gale and Ghostface in the lab. I feel like we have a lot of scenes like that in this movie.

Previously, the actress promised that the sixth film would be even bloodier and scarier.

“Ghostface gets a lot more intimidating in this movie, which gets bloodier and bloodier. I think it’s probably the most aggressive and violent version of Ghostface we’ve ever seen,” she said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight.

Ortega also spoke for the first time about the departure of Neve Campbell.

“I feel like I can’t really say too much just because it’s not my character. But I will say there’s so much going on in the sixth movie, there’s going to be so much going on. action and so much gore, you won’t miss it as much. But of course, there are several Sidney references, of course. You know, it’s good because there is still protection in the script and that’s something the actors naturally had about her because obviously you respect her and want the best for her. She missed it and thought about it,” he said.
