It’s worth remembering that “Scream 6” will take Ghostface and his trail of terror to New York City, following the pasts of other iconic villains. For those who don’t remember, Jason Voorhees also left Crystal Lake to visit the famous town in ‘Friday the 13th – Part 8: Jason Attacks New York’ (1989).

The new film will feature the return of Melissa Barrera (Sam), Jenna Ortega (Tara), Jasmin Savoy Brown (Mindy), Mason Gooding (Chad), Courteney Cox (Gale) and Hayden Panettiere (Kirby).

Rounding out the cast are newcomers Samara Weaving (“The Nanny”), Tony Revolori (“Spider-Man: No Homecoming”), Dermot Mulroney, Jack Champion, Liana Liberato, Devyn Nekoda, Josh Segarra and Henry Czerny.

Check out the synopsis:

“Sam, Tara, Chad and Mindy, the four survivors of the massacre perpetrated by Ghostface, decide to leave Woodsboro in search of a fresh start in another town. But it doesn’t take long for them to become the target of a new masked serial killer.”

The directors of the previous film, Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, will also be back for the next adventure.
