Two wheels have now become the most popular means of transportation for those living in big cities. With the busy traffic and frenetic pace of the metropolis, the only way to avoid traffic jams is to rely on a motorbike or scooter. These days the bonus for electric models has started again, which can guarantee you up to 4,000 euros discount for these models. From October 19, thanks to the Ecobonus, Italian citizens can offer very advantageous incentives. To do this, go to ecobonus.mise.gov.it. Through dealerships it will be possible to reserve incentives relating to the purchase of electric mopeds and motorcycles. The bonus request must be forwarded to the merchant and then confirmed within 180 days.

The state, through the Ministry of Economic Development, has allocated an additional 20 million euros on top of those planned for 2022. The sum was obtained from unused incentives for plug-in hybrid cars.

Concretely, to request this bonus, you must purchase a specific model of scooter and manner. Let’s see together what it is.

The incentive is intended for new generation electric vehicles belonging to categories L1e, L2e, L3e, L4e, L5e, L6e, L7e.
To have a reduction of 40% of the price, up to a maximum of 4,000 euros, you must scrape a scooter or a motorcycle homologated Euro 0, 1, 2 or 3.

It must in particular be a vehicle owned for at least 12 months, or belonging to a family member or partner of the person making the aforementioned purchase. If you don’t have a scrapped scooter or motorcycle, the bonus automatically goes from 40% to 30%, with a maximum value of 3,000 euros (instead of 4,000).

It should also be pointed out that in addition to electric scooters and motorcycles, the bonuses for electric cars and the incentives for wallbox home charging stations are still in effect.
