Kate Middleton’s famous dress, used on the occasion of her engagement to William Windsor, would reappear in Uganda. Here are the photos that have surprised the British in recent days and why the dress was worn by Princess Anna.
In the last years of her life, Queen Elizabeth wanted to surround herself with a few trusted people. Among them was his former seamstress Angela Kelly. After having made the English sovereign an icon of style in twenty-five years of work, the woman had retired. The late queen had wanted her as lady-in-waiting.

Even during the Covid pandemic and the confinements, Angela Kelly was one of the few people who could have contact with Elizabeth II. Now that the Queen of England is gone, it’s very difficult to pinpoint a style icon that belongs to her. Without a doubt, however, the person who comes closest to it is Kate Middleton.
Royal family, here is Kate’s dress in Uganda – PHOTO
It is unclear whether what happened in Uganda is the result of a “copied” style, an inspiration or the cost cutting so desired by King Charles III. Princess Anna traveled to this African country with her husband Timothy Laurence. The country’s president, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, was honored to dine with them.

Photos from the evening later shared by the Ugandan president himself moved English topics. It’s impossible not to remember the iconic dress in which Kate Middleton officially got engaged to William Windsor. The garment had been bought for a few pounds from the Issa store in London and quickly sold out across the UK.
Not just the dress: the sapphire brooch has priceless historical value
The color and cut of Princess Anne’s dress is very similar to Kate’s, which had the same blue color as the stone in the ring given to her by Carlo’s eldest son, which once belonged to Lady Diana. However, that’s not the only detail of Princess Anne’s royal-inspired dress. As Vanity Fair points out, the brooch worn belonged to Queen Elizabeth II. It is a true historical vestige of the English crown. The blue brooch worn by Princess Anna during a dinner with Museveni was worn by the ruler who died in 1995 and belonged to Empress Marija Fiodorovna, wife of Alexander III of Russia.
